Small Animal Surgery (VMS 5689) - 6 Credits

An introduction to surgery of the dog and cat, with emphasis on basic principles of asepsis, tissue handling, and surgical skills. In the laboratory, students perform surgical procedures which are common in small animal practice.

 

**The Small Animal Surgery course has been divided into two courses.

VMS 5689, Small Animal Surgery (4 credit hours) and

VMS 5630, Small Animal Surgery Laboratory (2 credit hours).
