Introduction To Microbiology (VPRP 0906)

At the end of the course, each student should have a basic understanding of the following:

  • The variety of microorganisms in existence.
  • Anatomy of microoganisms.
  • principles of infection and disease.
  • The mechanisms by which microorganisms cause disease.
  • Defense mechanisms of the host.
  • Prevention of disease by vaccination and control of disease by drugs.
  • How courses relate to one another in veterinary medicine.
