Librarian's Welcome

It is my very great pleasure to welcome you to the Stanley Mark Dennis Veterinary Library (SMDVL) at Ross University.

Our library proudly provides the Ross community with ready access to the best collections of print and online veterinary resources in this part of the world.

With nearly 6,000 volumes of print materials and approximately 107 active serial titles, the breadth of the collection is exceptional. These collections are complemented by access to a growing array of online sources in the Learning Resource Center.

A major goal of the SMDVL newly renovated library is to support the needs of the twenty-first century veterinarian by integrating access to print and online resources throughout the library.

We in the library are making close connections with students and faculty so that we can contribute to the teaching and learning, taking place at Ross. To that end, we are taking on new roles, expanding others, and improving out facilities.

One new role for the Library is that of a library’s web page which is continually being reviewed and updated. Here patrons can access our online journals, make suggestions, comments, etc. This is just one way in which we are exploring and enhancing methods of communication.

We hope that you will find the library useful in terms of accessing the collection. We also hope you will visit our beautifully renovated and expanded library facilities in person, and we look forward to assisting you.

It is my wish that you appreciate all the library resources we have made available to you. They have been chosen carefully. Use them liberally but wisely.
