Post Office

The students/faculty/staff mail sorting/distributing is done through the Admin office/copy center.

The Administration Office sells postage for outgoing mail.

There are two mailboxes located in the Administration Building. Students can buy postage and place their outgoing mail in the necessary box. These boxes are cleared once every day at about 10:00 am, and the mail are delivered to the post office. Any mail that is placed in the boxes after 10:00 am, would be delivered the following day.

All incoming mail is sorted by the post office to Ross University mailbox.

The post office box number is 334. The box is cleared by the driver/messenger of Ross University between the hours of 10:00 am & 12:00 midday.

The Mail is delivered to the University everyday within the mentioned two (2) hour period.

Mail are sorted & distributed by the copy center staff everyday between the 12:00 midday and 4:00 pm. The time depends on the quantity of mail and the workload of the mail person.

Faculty mail is then delivered to their individual mailboxes located in the Admin office. Staff mail are sorted according to departments and placed in their department mailbox.

Students mail is stamped & taken to the students union and is sorted by first letter of last names.

All students’ club/Associations mail is sorted in the Student Government Association (SGA) mailbox if the representative for the club/association name is not on the envelope.

There is also a rejected mailbox located at the student union. This box is used for persons who are no longer at the university. The rejected box is cleared everyday, the addressee is verified by the campus registrar and then sent back to the sender through the post office the following day.

For the smooth running of the mailing procedures and the benefit of students/faculty/staff, all persons are responsible for changing their mailing address to:

» their full names
c/o Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine
P. O. Box 334
Basseterre, St. Kitts
West Indies

All students must have their spouses mail addressed (c/o) of their name, as this would facilitate the sorting of the mail.

It is also important that all students whose bills are addressed with their landlords name should have their name added to the bill. This would prevent bills from being sent back to the sender after the mail person cannot find the name as a registered student/faculty/staff.

Mail can be picked up everyday.
